MESOTHELIOMA FAMILY Q&A CHAT ROOM
THE MESOTHELIOMA FAMILY Q&A CHAT ROOM – Is a Facebook based ‘secret’ online peer-based support group, facilitated by the Bernie Banton Foundation’s ‘Mesothelioma and Asbestos Related Support Division Team’.
The group is specifically for sufferers living with mesothelioma, their carers, and immediate family members. It is intended to be a meeting place where like-minded people on a similar journey can come together to support, discuss and bounce questions off each other.
The value of being able to chat and fellowship on Facebook to someone virtually 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, whether it be to someone in your own backyard or on the other side of the world; or when all those around you are sleeping, is immeasurable.
The MARS Division Team members have walked the mesothelioma and other asbestos dust related disease journeys, and as such can equate with the path members are on. If questions are raised in the group that can’t be answered by group members then MARS Team members will endeavour to find the answer from reputable sources. Team members monitor and facilitate the support group site as much as possible – and will respond and participate when time permits.
