The Bernie Banton Foundation is an apolitical, faith-based (non-denominational), not for profit organisation with authority to operate in all Australian states and territories.
The Foundation’s Mesothelioma and Asbestos Related Support (MARS) Network is physically active throughout NSW and the ACT offering peer-based support and information, and referral and advocating services to those who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma cancer or another asbestos related disease (ARD), and to their carers and immediate family members, as well as those bereaved.
Our Freecall Support Helpline, available Australia-wide, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week offering peer-based support and information from people who have, importantly, lived the mesothelioma or other asbestos diseases journey. We are also active online via our comprehensive website, blog and social media platforms.
We DO NOT charge, or place expectation of donations being made, for any of our services, neither do we have (and never will have) any ‘pay by referral’ or ‘quota’ type relationship with any legal firms, medical specialists, individuals; corporate, union, or government bodies. We do however have relationships with, and recommend people and organisations we believe are specialists at what they do, are holistic and importantly, ethical!
Please check out the information that is relevant to your situation or interest, by clicking on the tile graphics below. Some pages or paragraphs that are applicable to more than one individual topic, have been repeated, this has been done deliberately as we cannot assume everyone will read each and every page. Whilst we believe you will find this whole website a comprehensive reference, you will find out a lot more helpful information, gain support, and access our referral and advocating services by contacting the Bernie Banton Foundation Support Co-ordinator, Rod Smith, via our 24/7 Freecall Support Helpline 1800 031 731 or by emailing Rod via: firstname.lastname@example.org
